Truth in Love
Parable of the Narrow Way
The Kingdom of Heaven is like a woman
who carried two heavy stones.
One was truth.
The other was love.
When she threw truth without love,
it shattered people.
When she offered love without truth,
it slowly weakened them.
She had seen both misused.
Some in her circle prized bluntness.
“Just being honest,” they said—
while leaving bruises behind.
Others prized peace.
“Just keeping harmony,” they said—
while letting harm continue.
She feared becoming either.
One afternoon,
a friend drifted toward destruction.
Everyone noticed.
Few spoke.
“It’s not my place.”
“I don’t want to offend.”
“They won’t receive it.”
The woman felt the tension
between silence and severity.
The Teacher once confronted Peter.
He also restored him.
He overturned tables.
He also wept over cities.
His truth never humiliated for sport.
His love never ignored sin.
She invited her friend to coffee.
Not publicly.
Not performatively.
She spoke plainly—
about what she saw,
about why it mattered,
about the cost ahead.
Her voice trembled.
She did not weaponize Scripture.
She did not disguise rebuke as sarcasm.
She anchored every word
in care.
Tears followed.
Resistance surfaced.
But so did gratitude.
For truth spoken in love
does not aim to win—
it aims to heal.
The Kingdom grows
where courage and compassion
walk together.
The Kingdom Measures Differently
